any recommendations on family resorts to stay at between corpus and Port A? Been looking at the Mayan Princess, any other recommendations on a place to stay and things to do. Think i'd prefer the resort over a B&B or condo as my 6 year old will probably enjoy the pools more than the beach. Any suggestions will be appreciated. TIA

Check out village by the beach on mustang island/North Padre. We have stayed there before and will again this year. Nice pools, and one side that we stay on has a kiddie pool/splash pad area and a 3-4 foot pool as well right outside the condo.

Port Royal, Mayan Princess, several down 361 that are good, or used to be. Verify they are not still under construction/ remodel before booking.Comment

Port royal should be open and hard to beat in port A,. I know the sand castle is still not open and at least 1 other big one but I cant recall if it was the mayan princess or not.Comment

Theres one on N Padre. Dont remember the name but it has a wide concrete walkway on the beach side that is great.for kids and adults in the afternoon shade. Maybe a hundred feet.or so to the surf. Its right next to holiday inn which was still closed last summer.Comment
