    Which credit card?

Need advice/input on which is best? I don’t have one right now I only used visa debit card, I had a low credit score I found out when checked my score there was all kinds of not me’s on there. I cleaned up all of that which was relatively simple just contacted creditors and credit bureau once the found out it wasn’t me it has been brought back to the high 700’s. Now I was gonna get a costco card , only to show more activity on my credit reports to try and get back in the 800’s

You can google top rated CC's. Discover it card was one of the top ones. They give you 12 months no interest plus cash back on purchases. After 12 months whatever cash back you earned they match it.

I have Bank of America and zero complaints about it.

Plus they have a cash back option so every time you use it, you get back anywhere from 1-3%

Just be sure to spend under 30% of your credit card monthly limit. Anything over that and you can hurt your credit score.

Good question...do you like cash back or do you love to travel?

My wife has a Southwest Credit Card and we earn points. (I work for American, so you know this isn't an ad!) We basically take one to two round trips on confirmed tickets domestically with this. To us, it means more to travel for free so that we only have to worry about hotel, car rental and stuff to do financially. (You could be a pro and get two cards: one with hotel points and another with airline!) Check out The Points Guy for help deciding on a card.

If cash is the way to go for you, I hate to say I'm not as familiar. I have a 1% cash back card...it's ok...and that seems to be the standard rate. A few have more cash back, but they may also have annual fees.

Either way, this is completely pointless if you don't pay the card off in full each month. My FIL was a home builder, bought all materials for a home on his card, paid it off at the end of each month, and then in December would cash in on this 1% to the tune of like $5,000. Not bad.

I was telling my wife bout doing something like that, making our house payments and other bills we have with a card to earn points or get cash back then pay it off the way we normally do. Not sure if it was possible

99% sure you can't pay off a mortgage payment with a credit card. Must be bank drawn. We called on it to verify. The reason I still leave the 1% that maybe you can is I'm not sure if this is a law or just how business is done and maybe there are some lenders that would allow it.

I was wondering if it was possible to make the payment via credit card then make the credit card payment at the end of the month. I will keep on researching

General rule of thumb is you can't pay debt with debt. In other words, you can't pay your monthly loan payment on your house/car/boat...

You can however pay all other bills. My wife an I have a Southwest Airlines Credit Card, it's a Visa thru Chase. We put Daycare, Cell Phone, Cable/Internet, Gas, Electric, all groceries, all fuel, eating out, fun... pretty much everything but house and vehicles on it. Usually do a few grand a month on it and pay it off every month. End up with multiple round trip flights a year from it.
