Botswana Considers Lifting Elephant Hunting Ban

A government group recommends elephant hunting resume within limits, and also calls for the animals to be slaughtered for meat used in pet food production.

Good for them. I wish when anti’s would make those false claims about eco-tourism revenues someone would whip out the true figures for comparison.

An interesting thing about elephants. Kenya used to have the highest population of elephants in the world. Then they outlawed sport hunting. Now there are only a few elephants in protected parks.

Zimbabwe used to have a low population of elephants. They opened sport hunting for elephants and the population grew to become one of the largest in the world..

It’s funny how hunting works. Something anti’s don’t believe.

That is good news. I am sure the CITES meetings will be quite interesting since this will be at the top of the list. These articles are written so poorly it is scary.
It would mark a sharp turnaround for Botswana, which has been hailed by conservationists for its robust wildlife safeguards.
That would NOT be conservationists..........those are preservationists!!! Better known as ANTI's in the world of hunting.
