Test Drove a new 07 TUNDRA today

Man this one blew my mind, and it may just be the truck of the year. the one I drove was the 5.7 v8, and that boy left me and the salesman at the dealer ship that quick. Yota did it right this time guys.

Durocab1, funny you asked. There was a man there at the same dealer ship I was and he was trading in his Titan for a new 07 Tundra, I ask him why and all he said was, (Trany Problem on his Titan and did not like how it handles) V-6 4.0 ltr was also awesome, Both good for the MSRP.

I saw them today at waco, WOW those trucks are nice and surprisingly big. I've got a tacoma myself, they seriously have a contender for a full sized truck now.

I received two calls from dealers today that they are in. I wonder how long it will be before you can get a decent deal on one. We're a GM and Ford supplier so we get a decent break on them. Unfortunately that isn't the case with Toyota.

Uh, Yes would be the short answer. According to several publications i've read, the new Tundra with the 5.7 V8 leaves all the other half-tons in the dust as far as power and "gitty-up". This includes the new GM Vortec Max. I took a good look at the ones they had at the Houston Auto Show and I was very impressed. They may very well have hit the bullseye with this truck, but it will remain to be seen if it will be a formidable half-ton. I think their sales at first will be from the current Nissan Titan, Toyota Tacoma guys. Pure "Truck Enthusiast" will have a hard time restling with the decision of buying a "Japanese" half-ton pickup. I know it's made right here in Texas, but it's still a Japanese truck. A truck that could eat into the already non-existant profit margins of Ford and GM.

I bet there will be a lot of new used 2006 & below Tundras at the Toyota dealers soon from people trading up to the new ride.
Prime chance for someone to pick-up the previous model Tundra at a reduced cost.
