Got our guns back across Saturday. Knocked down a 7 point cull Friday evening.
Our main target buck wasn’t seen at our cameras or in person since October. This morning Covert sends me a picture of him at 8:22am at one of our feeders. Nothing broken, looks healthy. Day after season closes SMH. Maybe next year.

Buddy of mine (Roman) from Mexico is looking to lease his ranch.

Rancho El Rey is located a few miles west of Amistad Dam in Acuna, Coahuilla Mexico. This area is considered one of the best and secure areas for low fence whitetail hunting. This ranch was part of the original 5 ranches that made up Rancho El Seco. Rancho El Rey is about 1 hr drive from Del Rio, TX.

I was actually able to successfully cross a cape thru E P yesterday. Was cold and breezy. I got a female agent who did a brief exam, filled out the paperwork and I was done in a jiffy. She was cold. Of course the cape was dipped, tanned and inspected by 5 different folks at ranch. Miracles never cease.

Gave the cape and rack to James at Mesquite taxidermy who I have been very pleased with.

We had a lease member that brought a deer back through Eagle Pass and they just told him to pass through. The officer asked if he had anything and he said he had a deer in the back and the officer just looked in the bed and said to go ahead.
I have never heard of this happening before and it sure has never happened to me.
