You have no idea how epic HEB is.
I've lived outside of Texas before and know what you mean. Haven't found a grocery store that holds a candle to HEB.

My 7 yo asked me what HEB stood for tonight. I told him Howard E. Butt. He said, with a confused look "How to eat butt"? It was pretty hard to not crack up.

It is the only place we shop. Oh, and they just made a donation today to my daughter during the San Antonio stock show sale. I didn't see any other retailer there donating to the youth.

A chain that could give them a run for their money is Publix. I have been to several of those in Florida and they are amazing. I enjoyed shopping at HEB in the past, but currently have a bad taste in my mouth due to a run away shopping cart slamming into my truck at HEB gas pumps in San Angelo. Hit hard enough to dislodge a fender flare, break my headlight, and break some bumper clips. Had to track down a manager after waiting 30 minutes for someone who was supposedly ‘on their way’ and they just said they would take down my info and pass it along but I probably wouldn’t hear anything back from them about it.

HEB is all we have here. I did see this on FB and thought it was interesting.

Publix is awesome and better than HEB. But your sometimes limited by location. Shop where I need to buy there’s definitely no loyalty on my end

I pray that one day H-E-B will build a Super Store in Grapevine Texas.

I sure wish we had an HEB over near my neck of the woods, thought for sure the neighborhood Walmart store that closed would have ended up an HEB, no such luck.

Not at a place that publicly lobbies the tx state legislature for sanctuary cities, that's for sure. I see grocery shopping transcends personal beliefs in this thread which is sad. The old, "what grocer doesn't support illegal aliens in someway" is such a lame excuse for continuing to use HEB.
