Looking for feedback from anyone that has and uses this feature, especially in a Ram or Ford truck. I'm looking at new trucks and this feature caught my eye. I make several long interstate trips a year and the idea of heading East on I-20 and I-30 and not having to repeatedly reset the cruise control from braking seems like it would be nice luxury. I've always been a GM guy, but they don't offer adaptive cruise control in any of their new trucks, not even the Sierra Denali or Silverado High Country trims. It's kind of a bummer, although GM does have some cool features in their new trucks that Ram and Ford don't have.
I've driven a 2002 Tahoe for 17+ years, so I'm mostly inexperienced with modern electronic features like back-up cams, lane change assist, adaptive cruise, parking assist, etc.
Does the adaptive cruise control technology work pretty good and is it a nice feature on long highway trips?
