Don’t know how y’all have the patience to bow hunt turkeys out of a pop up over dekes. I guess when you’ve got access to land with good numbers of birds, you can get picky with how you attempt to kill them. The best thing about spring turkey hunting to me is taking the hunt to the bird.

I understand what you’re saying and I love killing turkeys more than anyone.

But I also love to hunt em. If I shotgunned hunt, I’d prolly be tagged or passing birds by the 2nd week.

If this public land thing works out, my tune may change.

Also, I hunt with my dad prolly 80% of the time and he ain’t runnin or gunnin anywhere.

Just had two toms come in to 10 yards, but when she drew back and sat up the window was too low for her to shoot out of. They didn’t hang around long. My fault I just had her make sure she could shoot the decoys not beyond them
