When to Seed St. Augustine

What time of year do you seed and fertilize St. Augustine?

We moved in to a new house in October and the yard is pretty rough. Looks like we need to crowd weeds out and feed/water soon.

No such thing for sale. St. Augustine has to be put down as sod. Id say.when you see some for sale its time to do it.

I use Spectracide with Atrizine on my St. Augustine. I am waiting for temps to be above 60 to spray it.

Your far enough south to put out St Augustine sod now. A pallet of sod will cover around 450 sq. feet

If you don't have much or any shade you can put out Bermuda seed once night temps don't fall below 60. Water every couple of days until you get a good stand. Bermuda won't choke out weeds like st Augustine.
