Take a plate off of another trailer and put on it for the trip.

I ran my race motorcycle on the street for 2 years with tags off my computer bike.

Just hook and go. Make sure your lights work.

I'd just go. Make sure your lights are working and you'll be fine.

I got stopped by a GW at the boat ramp. He asked me where my plate was. I told him "heck, I just wired that dang thing on there with a new piece of bailing wire. Someone must have stolen it". He just laughed and drove off.

                    Lights work? Check
                    Leave after dark? Check
Drive within the speed limit? Check
Made it to destination with no ticket? Check

I think I did something along those lines. I poured it on thick with my best East Texas accent.

Ok this is a little off topic but why the heck do you have to pay extra per trailer when you already pay way more for a truck license ? the trailer is not a motorized vehicle and when it is hooked to your truck it is now part of your truck. it's just a BS money grab !
I think LA doesn't require trailer licenses for that reason

Over thinking it, just hook it up and go.
