    ? on shooting more than 1 buck

    What is the law regarding shooting a buck in a one buck county, than shooting another buck in a different 1 buck county. I looked in tpwd book but couldnt find a clear anwser. I know this has been discussed before but dont remember what the law says. thanks

    You can do that in three different one buck counties if you want.

      You can shoot as many bucks as you have buck tags as long as you dont exceed the buck limit per county

          Rule Change

          When the TPWD first came out with the "One Buck" county designation you were only allowed 1 buck in any "One Buck" county and your license even had 1 tag that was specifically for "One Buck" counties. Then, they changed to "One Buck" East & West which allowed one from each zone.The dividing line was roughly I-35. Now, as these guys indicated, you are allowed 3 bucks total, but unless it is a 2 or 3 buck county you may still take only 1 buck in a county designated as "One Buck"

          That's enough to confuse me !

          Do you guys remember the county zones designated by letters a few years ago in the journal, what a mess ! I am so glad they went back to the county by county listing of the limits and seasons.
