New logo...yay or nay? Arrow or no arrow?

I am not a fan of the antlers. Think of how it will look in your marketing efforts. Do you think that will look good embroidered on a Polo or hunting gear?

I am going to give you some other constructive criticism.

It sounds like from what you posted (when I get home) this isn't your only job. The site is very well done. Very slick. I was in IT for twelve years. Dealing with idiots was part of the job that was fun 1% of the time, a royal pain in the caboose the other 99%.

Your site is very technical for a target market that isn't very tech skilled.
You are going to have to have 24/7 tech support immediately upon launching it during the free trial period. As you grow bigger and get paid subscribers you will have to add more staff to support their needs. This support won't just be someone who knows your site, but someone who has a pretty good general knowledge of PC support/cell phone/tablet/game camera/satellite web sites. "I can't get this to work" phone call could end up being a 3 hour phone call.

Look at how many threads there are here from users who can't figure out how to post pictures. Your entire site is based on uploading & configuring & using tools that aren't very common to the majority of users.

I watched the Youtube videos. I understand your just giving a brief rundown of the functions but if your going to use the site for tech support you need to make videos with the idea customers have never used a computer. You just dive right into a page where you have configured everything for the most part.

I hope you have all these bases covered already. If you do I applaud you. You did a great job on the site design. It's one of the better start up designs I have ever seen.

If you don't I am curious how you will plan on addressing it. I see this being a huge hurdle and watched the videos again and didn't see a help icon anywhere.

If you can navigate this website, you can navigate thehuntersight.com. If you upload pictures to your computer from an SD card. Then you already know how to upload pictures to the site. If you do not use a game camera now and do not know how to upload pictures to a computer then that will be an issue.

I will create more videos and shorter videos. No, IT staff but at some point I will hire that. At this point, the website is launched and ready for members.

You are right about tech savvy being a hurdle, but it isn't much to it. It looks and sounds intimidating because it is a lot of stuff to digest.

You will need to use chrome, safari, edge, or firefox. The old internet explorer is outdated and all the new features I have will not show on that.

Thanks for the input everyone. Logo has been decided but does not mean that I cannot change it. I think it will look good on a hat, polo, and as a sticker. We will see, going to get some stuff made and I will post the outcome in a few weeks.

I don't care for the antlers coming off the letters. To me it looks like you are chasing the Salt Life logo and all that follow it.

What about losing the antlers, and dropping a european skull with a 180's score behind the THS.

Good info, not a bad suggestion on the skull behind lettering. I looked up Salt Life to see what it looked like but did not see any correlation? Not my intention to chase after a fishing company with my logo. However, I do realize my logo isn't anything earth shattering. Just something simple I can stitch on a polo shirt. Colors can change, so don't get hung up on that.
