On the replay after the game it show Jake trying to go around to the outside in the last step before the collision, landed on the outside of home plate.


Any report on the condition of their catcher?

In order to be accused of blocking the plate - one would have to be right in front of and in the base line and he is neither.

Nice finish to the first half winning 7 of 8. Now I hope they hand the rangers their *** in the 4 game set after the break. I like that Hinch is finally splitting up JV and Cole after the break. Hopefully Lucroy will be fine and not miss any action after the break. I think that
was just all an unfortunate chain of events. Jake doesnt seem to have a mean streak in him.

MLB got the call right...

Before lucroy went to the INSIDE, he WAS blocking the plate. You should really watch the replay. Also, Jake states exactly what all are saying. He made a move to go around.
