Thank you for all the responses guys. We had to leave the farm this morning so this will be a project for another day. We tried the front end loader trick as well as digging and boards under the tires but water just kept filling in the ruts and sinking us deeper. I’ll try to post pics as soon as I get to a computer. We may have a guy scheduled to do some road work that can hopefully pull us out while he is at it.

Sorry for your rotten luck.
That looks like what I’ve done with mine a few times.
Driving along, and all of the sudden it just sinks.
FEL does no good. It just mushes into the ground when ya try to use it. This picture happened two weeks after the last rain.
I’ve learned to just get off, when it sinks like that.
You can see the water over the wheels in this picture.
The ground is perfectly dry 20’ behind the tractor. That not a low spot, spring, or anything like that, just for whatever reasons it is saturated below the surface. Weird, but the soil just holds water for a long time.
Here’s another time that happened to me
I tried to pull it forward with the FEL, wound up with a big hole to fill in later.
I wait until the ground dries up some, then jack it up with my big Hi-Lift at each tire, and throw firewood in the hole till the tractor sits at ground level. Repeat this at all 4 corners. Once it’s up, raise up bucket and mower, put it in 4 hi, and let ‘er rip. Don’t let off till you’re back at the barn.
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately...
