We use railroad plates and a piece of rebar, along with t-posts for hogs. Works like a charm.

        1. put a board ( i used some old deck boards that i had ) put one under each foot

        2. drive a t-post next to each leg.......keeps the feeder from moving or flipping when the pigs get after them

        3. Yes, cattle panels do help with the rooting issues under the feeder
Only suggestion I do to this recommendation is add a couple bags of concrete under the feeder to keep hogs from rooting directly under the feeder. Sprinkle it dry on the ground.

Move your feeder. Hogs love mud deer don't

Get a couple pieces of metal and weld it into a T . Slide the T upside down into the leg. Then drive your t post parallel to the leg and tie it off.

Didn't read all the posts, but I was having issues with hogs and wet weather causing my feeder to lean. T-posts didn't work. Ended up marking my legs, digging holes and set 5 gal buckets down then put the legs inside them, cover and pack. Buckets had hole in the bottom for drainage. Never had an issue again. Now this was in post oak sand, so it wasn't backbreaking labor.
