      They come by and check your corn feeders more than you know, about the only time you do know is when they are caught on camera. I also agree with the coon statement, they'd keep it ate up so the coyotes wouldn't be able to get on any kind of pattern.

            We don't throw table scraps in the trash. Been dumping them in the pasture about 50 feet from the back door for years. Have yotes there several nights a week. Probably more often than I know.

                  Remember, yotes are very sensitive to their surroundings and anything foreign will trigger panic. Foreign meaning not native to their environment and, of course, dog food is non-native. This would not be a great idea.

                  We gathered a few deer carcasses and laid them in our "bait pile", this seemed to work very well.

                  Just make sure you don't visit the pile in the preceding days or you will leave your scent.

                    Edit: Also, make sure your buddies are coordinated..... We had 5 at the pile and one of our bonehead colleagues ripped off a shot before anyone could sight up
