      I finally decided to buy mine one year and showed up with $1000. The lady was “really sorry” but it’s $1800 this year. I left because I was frustrated and ended up buying it the next year anyways.

          Another great thing about it. If you kid relocates somewhere else in life he will always have a fishing license in Texas. When he comes to visit no need for non-resident fishing.

            I actually asked about this before I moved up to AK for hunting and fishing. Had a Colonel in the Air Force who would buy a lifetime license in every state he was stationed at because of that. If I remember right he had, Texas, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, NC, and Washington State.

              I bought my son one soon after he was born. He’s 12 now. It was a good investment
