    Pipeline making some ranchers richer

The pipelines running from New Mexico through Odessa to Corpus Christi are paying ranch owners around 60.00 a foot to cut across their land in South Texas. If you have 7 miles of land they go through that is a nice paycheck of over 2.2 million. They came close to our ranch but not close enough.

We have both of the big pipelines coming through south Texas running across are place and I'll say both companies are a pain in the *****.

And the EPIC pipeline wrote us a hot lease check, imagine that.

It’s a lot of money and makes a nice sendero to hunt, but I still hate eminent domain. My property I bought with my after tax hard earned money was not meant for someone’s pipeline or a _____ ing bullet train.

If you own 7 miles of land to cut through, then 2.2mil isn’t that much money.

a check is nice but no money in the world is enough when you consider it in the grand scheme of things. Having our second pipeline come through our place starting in a month, all I can think about is I hope it doesn’t mess up our turkey season. Not to mention this will be another gate along the property line that who knows will have access to and can come on our property uninvited.

I agree. We were paid better than the going rate, but We lost some major old oak trees in the eminent domain pipeline in Leon county.

Strangely in goliad the huge pipeline ROW (60’) there is a major game feeding area in the thick brush and timber it traverses. The Rancher loves the grazing and the pipeline keeps it mowed.
