They just sent this answer on Twitter

Game Wardens have a variety of uniforms to wear, depending upon their daily tasks.

The green ones are actually the old game warden patches, the brown ones are the new millennial environmental officers patches.

Yeah, shorts and flip flops are a different uniform than most.

It’s still a uniform and it’s still going to work. Strange I’m still doing math looking at retirement date

Patch colors are different for different types of the uniform they are wearing. The green/brown are more "tactical" type uniform compared to the typical green/blue on every day uniform. Has nothing to do with where stationed or rank.

I am not sure why he had his gun drawn, that camera is on a trail leading to my stand.I left the stand around 1030 and ran into him on the trail he was kneeling down behind a bush and startled me pretty good. He checked my license and asked if that was my trail camera back there and I said yes it was then we walked to the camera and then attempted to remove the sd card and was experiencing difficulty removing it so I removed it for him then we walked back to my truck and he gave me my sd card back we shook hands he told me to have a nice day and took off walking down the road heading west. He never told me why he was there. The only thing I question about the situation was why did he have his gun out and why did he want my sd card.

To make sure you didn’t have evidence of him shooting that buck

Was it me or did the guy from Red River county's dog look a lot like a coyote?

I have been checked by Federal and state game wardens over the years and never had a problem with them and figure they are doing a dangerous job and doing it alone out there...if I was a game warden I would have two guns drawn while sneaking around in the woods looking for miscreants.

Banana hammocks and life vest are considered uniforms?

                                Glen, this makes good sense.

I do know, there are 2 different Paramedic patches. Red, and black. Black is for tactical, usually for SWAT medics.

Just being curious. Didn’t know if’n they had a special meaning.
