    Coyote question

My dog had pups about 2 months ago and recently they have been disappearing. We live next to the Sam Houston Natl. Forest, and about 500 yards through the forest behind my house, there is a forest road that runs through. A few times in the 9 years I have lived here, I have seen a coyote or 2 wrossing that road as I was driving it. We are not covered up with coyotes, but there are some out there. Between my neighbors and myself, we have several big dogs, so I have always thought the coyotes would keep their distance. Do ya'll think coyotes would sneak in and take puppies from near the house? The pups normally stay in front of the house, but they're getting old enough now to explore a little. The pups aren't purebred, so they're not valuable, but I'm curious about this. Thanks in advance for sharing your opinions and experiences.

yotes will take an easy meal whenever the opportunity arises. One, I would say ran away...more, they were din-din.

Yup din din, bobcats tend to hit poultry, but coyotes and hawks will get pups and cats.

I knew they would eat them, I've just never seen them bold enough around here to come close to the house for food.

Yotes are awful brave when it comes to feeding their bellies, I wouldn't doubt it.
