Want to get paid for your Photos & Video?

If you guys fall into the majority of America as far as this economic slump is going then I know it won't hurt a few of you to put some cash back in your pocket.

Well as if you didn't need a reason to get out into outdoors and shoot some photos or video, I figured I'd let you know about this one and give you another reason.

Shutterstock is a company that will pay you for your photos and video. You upload your products and you get paid when people download your products. The only thing that sucks about it, is that once you upload it, people are free to do whatever they want with it!!!

        Hey Videographer,

Is this legit or maybe some type of scam. Just seems too easy and I'm a sucker for "easy".

I don't believe it is a scam. This site has been around a while and is not something that just popped up. I would question how much money you can actually make on it though. Unless you are an exceptional photographer, I'm guessing the checks are going to be little or nothing.

Most likely ok but I just could not make myself give them my CC number

No it's not a scam or I wouldn't had posted it up for everyone to take a look at.

As far as how big your checks are, that will depend on the uniqueness of your photo's. I honestly think a photo like Converts Dog/Coyote series would fetch quiet a bit of money.

I haven't uploaded anything yet, but I have several TB's worth of video that I won't be using that I could upload on there. I got an account with them, and I never had to give them my credit card #.

There's several companies that do this online--that's just one of them. The downside of it is that they don't accept copyrighted or 'bugged' photos or footage and you don't have any control over what the price is, the use of it is, or any further royalties of off it.

COACH.......I have a couple of contacts I'll send you......soon. Pretty busy prepping for an out of town job so it may take a day or 2.
                Later.

Thanks Pat, email box has space

Missed ya at the airport last weekend, I could have used 2 other cameras in the lead and chase planes. We started off in Cessna 182's but the ride was to "bumpy". I talked things over with the Airport manager and he got us up in gliders to film since we had some good winds. It was smooth soaring and we got the footage we needed. I'm going to head back up in the air this weekend and film from the lead plane, and then a chase plane so we can work the different angles, and get a rollover shot.

Any video, will do (other than nudey).

I have had people (not from shutterstock) send me email offering to buy certain portions of my video to use on their shows. These are shows that currently are playing on the Sportsmans Channel.
