Axis hide tanning?

Gary does all of my taxidermy work as well. They do good work. I was shocked the last time I had an axis hide tanned.

Gary is on the high end of his business. But I have never been disappointed in anything he has done for me. From meat processing, euro mounts, hog hoof gun racks, tanning and shoulder mounts. I would not go anywhere else in the Hill country.
Heck of a guy also.

Just got two axis hides back today from North Texas Tannery and I couldn’t be more pleased for the price. Great quality work.

He did a beaver for me a few years ago that also turned out great.

When I ship, I ask them what the delivery time is on ground. It’s almost always one day. I freeze the hide(s), buy a cheap styrofoam cooler from HEB, add some dry ice for insurance (in case of a delay), and walk into a UPS. They will box the cooler.

I’ve done this several times and have never had an issue.
