I have to work tomorrow but expect to be free Tuesday but never really know till the day before. Heck, at the moment it looks like I may be free all week after Monday.
Be careful, I might take you up on it! Be warned, Im not exactly Mr personality. Would be happy to pay for whatever ( beer bait gas or whatever ). Could take my boat if you want, the only downside is Im not familiar with the area so may be a struggle. I ran aground between the island and the bridge yesterday. Was just puttering along since it was so shallow so it was no big deal, but almost had to get out and pull it off.
Thought about launching at Stubblefield but with the lake so low I was worried it would be too shallow. My boat is a bit stern heavy with 80hp on the back of a relatively small boat
Under the bridge running north you head slightly left about 75 yards off what stumps are left. Then between the island and the west side of the lake. That bar runs all the way from island to the east side.
Past that the river channel is the middle and was pretty easy to see back when. It's only tricky again once you get up near the next islands.
I took off mlk day to celebrate by catching fish. Either going to the salt or chase crappies

I can't run it like that. But I just like to catch.

Sounds like I was on the wrong side of the island. It was 8ft on the east side then back up to 2ft past it. Tried to find the creek but didnt want to get stuck again. Went all the way to the stumps then west but chickened out. There were a couple of good trees inthe deep part on the east side of the island, was pretty surprised I didnt even get a bite on em
