Been thinking about going this afternoon. Have a hot job this morning but will be free in a bit. Cant decide whether I should head north or stay south end. Not familiar with the north end, hate to spend the whole day scouting, I wanna catch some fish!

Well that was a mistake....launched out of Cagle a bit after noon. The 1375 bridge was covered in boats so tried a couple of spots I had marked before. Nothing bit so headed north of the bridge. Got as far as Wildwood Shores ( I think its called ) . With the lake being 2ft low it was rough. Found a couple of spots along the creek channel but nothing. Not a single bite. Was getting late so headed back and stopped at the bridge just before dark. Got a a bite pretty quick and pulled one up that was just under 14". That was the one and only bite all day.

Going to try to go again Tuesday, but think Im done trying up there.

Had a couple of fine fellows from Fort Woth come over to try the slabs on LOP.
The lake didn’t disappoint.
Caught a good mess of solid fish this morning.

Be careful, I might take you up on it! Be warned, Im not exactly Mr personality. Would be happy to pay for whatever ( beer bait gas or whatever ). Could take my boat if you want, the only downside is Im not familiar with the area so may be a struggle. I ran aground between the island and the bridge yesterday. Was just puttering along since it was so shallow so it was no big deal, but almost had to get out and pull it off.

Thought about launching at Stubblefield but with the lake so low I was worried it would be too shallow. My boat is a bit stern heavy with 80hp on the back of a relatively small boat

Ha, yeah I can see that being the case

I have to work tomorrow but expect to be free Tuesday but never really know till the day before. Heck, at the moment it looks like I may be free all week after Monday.
