Smart, if you can good sir, please talk to me about marshmallows as bait in your coon cuffs? I have been using dry cat food and haven’t been doing as well. Thinking about changing to mellows this weekend. What size do you use? Do fill the cuff up? Also, what do you do about them dumping the traps? I gently step on my but they still seem to knock them over sometimes. Thank you sir

Sure. Real simple. A regular marshmallow is what we use when we use them. Make sure you put it in under the trigger inside the trap. You can hold the trigger out of the way while you put it in. Set trap and it holds the MM down. Just one.
Don’t let it sit all day in the sun or it will be a melted mess. We reset every night before dark.Last edited by Smart; 03-10-2019, 03:59 PM.

Our coons are scavenging for corn right now after the deer leave. We are baiting with corn since that is what they are there for and have had really good success. Plus if you drive up on your traps in the am to find them not sprung you can leave the again for another night if you wish with no mess.
