Left for vacation with a chicken killer at large. Came home after several days to no dead chickens but a big ole dead coon. My heeler’s right eye is still a bit blood shot. Way to go dogs!

I might need to put some dukes out.
What are you using for anchor's?
I was thinking tent stakes. Not sure if that's enough

Just chain it to your feeder legs. I use T posts mostly. Seen a few people on here use cinder blocks also. Pretty much anything they can't run off with.

Tent stake are not enough. I added a foot of chain and EZ links to make it easy.

What Smart uses is the best.
I initially just used some extra fencing wire to tie them to the feeder legs.

I use an identical setup that Smart uses except I use cable. Just tie that chain or cable around the feeder leg and you are good to go.

I’m sure if i read all of these posts then i would have seen it but what kind of traps are these. I’m getting hammered by the coons right now.

Dukes dog proof is what most of us use. I think there's another called a z trap that has a push/pull trigger. They're hard to beat!

2 masked chicken thieves this week with live traps & cat food. Dispatched with Benjamin .177.

Just got a couple Dukes in the mail to see what they'll do.

Took my 7 year old yesterday and put four traps out. 2 in my pasture 2 in swamprangers. Went 2 for 4, big male and a youngin. 7 year old was a little nervous dispatching them, especially the boar raising cain.
