    GPS Speedometers?

Well I have a 1995 YJ jeep and ever since the 4cyl was replaced by a chevy 350 engine, the speedometer hasnt been rewired. I got the jeep from a friend of mine about a year after the engine swap. Seems that some of the wiring was cut during the engine swap and the speedometer was never used, since the jeep was being used as a rock crawler. Ive since got it back to being registered for road use and am needing a speedometer. Have any of you had any experience with GPS Speedometers? There are so many out there. I figured I'd ask the GS for any input before investing in one. Thanks for any info or advice you can provide.

I am sure you have thought about it but you can use Waze on your phone for speed. Just thought if you can't find what your looking for.

I have used many of the free apps on my iPhone. Speedbox is the last one I downloaded but they all are adequate and close in functionality. I never paid for any of add-on stuff.

I now use Waze as it will show your speed. (Even turns red when you are over the posted limit.) Give you directions using current known traffic issues and road info.

At first I was going to tell you that you’d never exceed the speed limit in a YJ regardless, but then reread that you dropped a 350 into it

Auto meter and Dakota digital both have gps options but it’s $$$. Auto meter will be the best choice in a Jeep. Go all auto meter gauges and post a diy with lots of pics. Need help spending another $2k?
