Setting a hog trap with a 3 panel root door - any suggestions

These are not my favorite kind of pig traps, but I got it from a guy on here cheap and he was kind enough to deliver it.

Set it up for the first time over the holidays in the Hill Country. I started by throwing out a lot of soured corn in and around the trap. Pigs would come each night but would stay a decent ways away. As they ate the corn they started working their way closer to the trap, but I only got one to go inside after about 5 nights. Seems like dumping a bunch of corn right at the entrance worked the best. Just wanted to see if anyone on here had a good trips or tricks they would share.

Only put corn in the trap. None outside.
Prop open 1 door with a small stick

We've had some success with Dave's stick idea. Also have put in a pulley at back of cage and ran a trip wire/rooting rope where the gate drops after they get in the cage.

One thing that has upped my catch is to make sure the angle iron across the entry is completely covered with dirt and don't put corn on that area--they root off the corn and don't like the ironwork across the door.

Bolt a plate on one door so when it is lifted it lifts another door. Rig a trip wire on that door, running a wire or string up through the top panel, to the back of the trap, and down to a root stick. That way you have 2 doors open to allow easy access to the trap. Put a feeder on it, wire it open, and let them get used to going in. Almost guaranteed success when you set it to catch.
