I live and hunt on a small tract in NE Blanco Co. We’ve had a few decent bucks on camera but haven’t seen many from our two tree stands or out of our elevated blind. My 13yr old killed a mature buck as a guest at our neighbors on Cypress Creek.
I post this to say I will hunt through next weekend and hope to see a mature buck. But we have to learn from each season. Time to think about food plots and changing blind locations. This “slow” year is a good thing, we’ve gotten lazy. Time to changes things up.
Here’s the one buck I’ve taken. He had a dislocated right-rear hip. He’d of been a nice buck at 6yrs old.....all part of it.
Happy 2019, I love the pursuit.
