Correct me if im wrong but isnt collard greens and peas based off of slavery as to it would bring them wealth? Peas are the pennies and the greens are the dollars based on slavery in the old era. Now i know it is a tradition and lots of times have changed from then and this is not how it is seen now.

                Happy New Years TBH!!!

Man it's good to see some of us carry on the old traditions .
We need to stay tied to our past ,good or bad.
It's all our history and needs to be remembered imho.

Menudo? With collard greens and black eyes?

Menudo is what I had for breakfast with some lime and chicharrones.

I had some black eyed peas for lunch, sprinkled some Cajun Blaze on them and some Crystal hot sauce. Hey Poppa they was goood.
