Somehow I managed to hit Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and Valentine’s Day at the station this year. My GF is really hating it at this point lol

I’m waiting for the bottom to fall out at work. Been a pretty tame one in Irving thus far.....I just messed up by saying that.

Yep, 16 hrs.. came in 7 p.m get off today at eleven. Doesn’t sting as bad as it used to. I can deal with out all the partying and drunk people. Man I’m gettin old

I am on nights this week and today is my last day on my rotation.

I don’t have some super cool job like police officer, firemen, military or anything like that.

Hope everyone has a Happy New Year.

I started working in the oilfield at 18 because my grandfather, Dad, Stepdad, and Uncles did it. At 20 I quit and don’t regret it one bit. No nights, no weekends, no holidays, but I did miss the big paychecks.

Been here since 6 PM get off at 6 AM. Lab tech at the sand plant, been a pretty good night so far. Have 3 more to go on this hitch.

I left at 3:30, drove through the thickest fog ever and saw 2 wrecks on the way in.
