We turned it in and I told the cashier closest to that door what we had found and if anyone came in asking the office had it. I used it as a learning experience for him. Back when I was in high school it was my first day on the job at a ranch. I took over shredding for the landowner. I was on a open cabbed tractor shredding out in the woods. About an hour into it I noticed a wallet on the floor of the tractor. Opened it up to find at least $1,500. When I handed it back to my new boss he didn’t bat an eye. Stuffed in his pocket and walked off.

I was sitting in KLM lounge in Amsterdam once, got up and used restroom, sat back down. A few minutes later my name is called to come to desk. She had my wallet that had fallen out of my pocket, nothing missing. What a horrible feeling, topped by gratefulness to the person that turned it in.

Lost me driver's license about a month ago. I was dreading having to go have it replaced. About a week later a lady had mailed it to me. She said her daughter found it. Pretty cool

One day I received a call from a man that claimed he found my laptop on the side of the loop in Longview. I told him, no, my laptop is right he..... it was my laptop! I don’t remember the exact details, but it went something like this. I work for myself, so It wasn’t a company laptop he could just call. I believe he found a saltwater ticket in my laptop case, of which he had a contact to. He called them and they told him what oil company it was called in for. He then called them and gave them my name off my login screen on my computer. They gave him my phone number and he contacted me that afternoon. He went above and beyond to get it back to me. I compensated him for his troubles and thanked him. There’s good people all over, just don’t hear about them.

With no thanks at all? If so, that burns my biscuits!! I have dealt with a few guys like that in my life though.

I'm not going to take whatever you offer me as a reward, just not going to do it. However, I feel at least a "thank you" is in order for all good deeds.

That’s kinda my thoughts. The older I get, the more impressed I am with my 17yo self, he was kind of a wild one [emoji28]
