Thursday I went to put out some hand corn and check on my blind. After a muddy ride to my spot with the 4 wheeler I find my pop up down and in about 8 inches of water. I decided to put it back up in the woods and put the hand corn out.
Yesterday morning I bump deer coming in and didn't see any deer but shot my first bobcat with a bow. I put more corn out and get back in the blind around 3 in the afternoon. Nothing till sunset when I hear deer coming in and does start coming in on a trail to my right and a big antlered 4 point comes over the hill and starts feeding on my corn. He feeds for a minute and other small bucks start coming in and soon I'm surrounded by deer. The 4 point keeps looking down the trail and I hear another deer coming in. When the other deer gets closer, the 4 and the other smaller bucks move off to the side. Then my buck comes over the hill and starts feeding. He doesn't let any of the others get close and keeps driving them off. After about 5 minutes he gives me a quartering away shot. I draw, put my pin behind the shoulder and let it fly. The buck jumps and runs but doesn't make it 25 yards and he's down.
