All you TBH closet duck hunters.... Do you guys think this incoming weather will bring more ducks our way? We are hunting SE TX. I see a big freeze in the middle of the country. Hoping that pushes some new ducks South for us.

I’m not sure what to think about it these days. We’ve had a bad season.
I’m 500 miles NE of SE Texas and I’m not getting my hopes up too much, just based off what I’ve seen so far this year. Our conditions (water wise) have been pretty good and there just aren’t many ducks down. Very unusual for where I am. It’s also very unusual for it to be dang near 60 degrees here at this time of year. I bet I could drive around the rest of the afternoon and not see 1,000 ducks in the fields. Rest areas would be a different story, but even still, not close to normal numbers.
When it’s not cold, the ducks ain’t coming. Unless it get super cold for 4-5 days in a row, they’ll hold what they’ve got. That’s typically what they do up here when everything locks up for a few days. 100k sitting in one spot will keep it open.
