This is my understanding of the law as well. I was also told the 5 years-starts at conviction date and not violation date.

That’s correct. If someone were to get a class a/b while having your LTC they will send you a letter to surrender your LTC

          Step one complete!

In you’re situation it probably doesn’t apply, but does the end of the probationary period matter? A conviction may have been more than ten years ago, but if you were on probation for 4-6 years there might be an issue. I’m LEO so I’ve never even looked at the LTC stuff but somethingbothers reading may need to consider. Good luck.

If you were 19 and it's been 14 years it could have been DUI Minor, which is actually a class C if I'm not mistaken.

Age 19 is and adult. Never heard of a DUI Minor?

Stepson was arrested at 19 for it. If under 21 and you have ANY alcohol in your system, that is the charge.

DUI minor is for any detectable amount of alcohol. Has same DL suspension etc. it is a Class C mis.

Like Glen said it's for any detectable alcohol in a driver that's under 21. I haven't filed a DWI of any kind in probably 12 years or better though. Do you work in Madison County? I'm right across the river at the SO here in Houston County.
