Go with a 6’ tub it’s not 6’ inside of the tub if you have room for it the bigger is better .

We have a Kohler Sok. It is 7’ (or perhaps a bit larger) and it is awesome. I bought it from a woman who just built a custom home and didn’t like it. She probably slid in it. :-). She paid over $10k for it! Ooof. Her builder removed it and I got it, as new (slid in once) for $600 or so. I wouldnt pay $10k for one, but it sure is nice!

We've lived in this house over 2 years & have never used the tub. The house we were building wasn't going to have a tub in any of the bathrooms. We're building an "office" in a shop & it won't have a tub in the bathroom. Do y'all really use the tub(s)?

OP, I have no experience with a 6' tub but that seems long and not relaxing. Seems you'd be clinched up to keep your head above water.
This. Tubs just take up space.

My wife thinks it’s nasty to bathe in your own funk lol! I guess I tend to agree when thinking about it like that.

I want to rip the tub out of our master bath and make one huge shower. total waste of space IMO.

Look into cultured marble, they can build them in whatever size you want.

Yep no help here. When we remodeled we also ripped out the tub and put a big shower.

Just redid our kids bathroom and put a walk-in shower. Have a 5 1/2' Acrylic Claw foot tub sitting on my driveway if you want it.

Thanks. It don't get used that much really. The wife will use it and drink a glass of wine every once in a while and I used it a lot when I broke my shoulder and had the two surgeries. We also have a large shower and like I said go with body sprayers and rain head.

Be sure and upsize your hot water heater.

Thanks for all the advice. Half the reason we are doing this remodel is to add a tub.
We will still have plenty of room for a big walk-in shower.

Don't have much use for a tub since slipping and breaking my femur in one. Take my showers sitting down now. My advice to everyone is to have some sort of no-slip in whatever you bathe in.
