    Browning A 2000

Was lucky over the weekend and found 2 brand new un-fired A 2000 Browning shotguns. Both made in Belgium with one that said assembled in Portugal. I have never owned one and don't know anything about em. They need a good cleaning. I don't think the bolts were even opened as they are real sticky. Any ideas what they might be worth?

I think I'm confusing that model with a different one, now that I think about it...

are you sure it's an A2000, I have B2000. is the load ramp on the left side? if it is a B2000 it's probably worth 7-800 in new condition.

lol I've never found a gun myself.

I have discovered a few though that I needed to purchase.

                    B2000

Should be a B2000, and if they are new in the box you might get $800 each

I sure enjoyed mine back in the 80's. fast on doves and easy to load with the port on the left side. It was a gaping hole in the receiver but as a tool worked well.

                          good luck with yours.

I had one in early 70's. Beautiful gun. But it jammed all the time.

Took it back to shop that sold it to me and he just laughed....said "Brownings don't jam"

Took it to back room and cleaned it, said I must be using dirty Federals. It hadn't seen a Federal, just AA.

Loaded it with more AA's and proceeded to fire three in a row and laughed again.. Loaded 3 more and jammed on second shell, then third. Loaded 3 more and same.

Cleaned and repeated. Let me traded it in on 2 other guns.

I still have one and it’s the best shotgun I ever owned. Guided duck hunts for more than a decade and it was the most reliable gun I ever took to the blind not to mention the easiest on the shoulder.
