Roolie polie / Doodle bug invasion WHY??

Got down to my parents today and mom says she hasn’t finished sweeping the house. Tell her ok we will do it. Boy!!! The floor and every corner in the house is covered or stacked up with them.

    Why? are they like this?
What will keep them out of the house.

This farm house is probably only used 2-3 times a year.

rollie polies are pill bugs. doodle bugs are ant lions. not sure how to keep pill bugs out cause they invade my cabin at my Archer county place and I used all kinds of pest control products with no success. doodle bugs/ant lions usually are not an in door problem unless you have dirt floors.

All wood floors covered in outdoor carpet. House is 100 yrs old. We have just never seen them this bad in the house.

This is what we always called them

Doodle bugs draw circles in the dirt... Always fun to check and see if there are any home to show the kids them kicking dirt back out
