    Krivoman and maverick input needed

Looking at upgrading to a blind of this type so would appreciate any input on how they withstand the wind when mounted on a 4’ tower.

Any preferences and all feedback is appreciated because they are new to me

We haven’t had any problems with wind effecting our Krivos at all. Krivo is definitely built heavier and stronger than maverick. Screw the Krivo to the stand and anchor the stand down. Don’t worry about it unless a hurricane is coming.

I agree. I screwed my Krivo down to the base and it's rock solid. Not worried about it at all.

          krivoman and maverick

i have 2 mavericks and 7 krivomans. 6 of the krivomans are deluxe. one is standard. they are all pretty good blinds and for the money probably the way to go/ maverick you can get a little cheaper and they can be shipped and he is easy to work with. the windows are cheaper and the door has to be opened through the window. the kirvomans have deer view windows which are nice. it is difficult to get replacements from deer view and they have to be contacted thru facebook which is pain. krivoman does not help with that they push you to the manufacturer. delivery must be arranged on your own or sometimes if you buy enough you can pay an associate to deliver. the doors on all the deluxe units gave me some trouble and had to be tweaked to try and get them to open easily and quietly even when on horse mats and level. i like the standard krivoman the best of all 3 versions. it has good windows better door than the deluxe and few hiccups. they need to be caulked around the windows to keep hornets out. i really cant tell if the vents help in my opinion they all are hotter than hell when its warm and i dont think there is fix for that. i also have 7 rednecks they are great blinds but have gotten crazy expensive, their customer service is the best of anyone i have ever dealt with. hope that helps

My Maverick is mounted on a 8x8 platform that’s only 3’ tall. I don’t even have it anchored to the ground. Granted the base is welded steel tubing and heavy and it’s tucked inside some brush somewhat but it’s solid all the way around. It ain’t going nowhere unless a tornado comes through.

If you go with the Krivos just make sure you check the windows and doors before you leave. I like the blinds but after setting our 3 up this year we noticed some of the windows where not hung strait and had gaps at the top corners. Also 2 of the doors seem to be not mounted strait and don't latch properly. It could be that the stands just never got back into round after being strapped down on the trailer not sure. It just looks like to us that someone got in a hurry installing them. As far as the wind goes we have one set up 8 foot on the side of a hill and its been fine.

We've got 4 Krivomans and 2 are on 4' towers. No problems with any of them. We caulked around the windows and doors and screwed the ones on towers to the tower and they've never went anywhere. We've replaced Windows too. Called deer view and told them what I needed and they got it out in a couple weeks. I don't have Facebook so that's not the only way to contact them at all. Great products both of them.

What's up with having to caulk the windows and doors.....here that a lot.

It is an extra measure to keeping your scent in. Anytime screws go through plastic or it is cut, there may be some spots that need some silicone. I have said it before on other threads......I have some complaints about the Krivoman blind but the positives outweigh any small negatives I have. I would buy five more Krivoman blinds if I needed them. Like others have said.....screwed down on a base and it does not move.

What is the difference in the deluxe blind. I don’t see that one on the website.

Kirvoman are superior for sure. Maverick Windows are terrible and they are flemsy

We've got 6 or 7 Krivos, and will likely add a few more. IMO, there is not a better bow blind available.

I've seen some comments about caulking windows. When you transport these things, sometimes they get a little squished under the straps which can cause the window caulking to come lose. Really no big deal at all. We just re-caulk them once the blind is in its final resting spot. Takes about a minute. I've been to Mitch's shop and they do in fact caulk the windows. But due to the flexible nature of the blinds, you gotta expect a little touch-up due to transporting. Again, not a big deal at all.

They both will hold up in the wind. Both can be easily mounted to a platform. The Krivoman is a better quality blind, and the price reflects it.
