I have seen several models that put some pretty cold weather into Texas the last day or so of this year and on into the first couple days of the new year. Some are showing some icy weather for the hill country. Anyone else with better weather knowledge (Johnny??? Playa?? ) see this unfolding?

The 10 day forecast does not show anything like that unless it is coming on the first.

The Almanac called for super cold in late Dec. It would definitely be better than the warm temps were having now.

Models are showing the intrusion beginning on Thursday-Sunday. I’m not sold on it yet and feel like we would be on the western edge, with the bulk of the cold to our east.

I want another day or so to see what sort of agreement models make.

I’ll be hunting that weekend with my son, seems to never fail we get an ice storm in the Big Country area when he is hunting with me.

I'm praying for 6' of snow on NE and KS.

It is supposed to hit NE day after Christmas.

Looks like some an ice storm may develop over central texas on Wednesday. Please watch the weather closely this week if you head out. Gonna be plenty cold for sure with a good chance for some sort of ice.
