Talking to neighbors

I have a 200 acre ranch that is surrounded immediately by smaller ranches. All 4 sides around me are not hunted. My question is how would you start the conversation with other neighbors about what kind of management/deer are they harvesting without sounding nosy or confronting.

I would leave sleeping dogs lie. You start telling them about growing big deer and they gonna start talking. You are in a very fortunate area, around here it ain’t like that.

Sounds to me like you need to make nice with neighbors and you might add some land to hunt

Invite them over for dinner and some drinks. Establish a friendly relationship with them first - Offer to help move cattle, clear brush, etc. Let the topic of hunting come up naturally.
