Flu Season: How many are getting it?

Seems as if most everyone I know is getting it. My attorneys got it and came to work with it and their offices are right in front of me and they are coughing, coughing and more coughing. Of course, its the mindset I have to close this deal by the end of the week or we have to file this answer and motion for summary judgment by the end of tomorrow. Then the stuff never gets filed that week, and they made everyone sick!! (hope they're not reading this but if they are I really love my job!) Mom has it really bad and my best friend does also. Well, I went home sick Friday with it, starting running a rank fever and now feeling just plum yucky. I even got a flu shot! Just wondering if others are starting to feel like they are coming down with the flu or a bad virus. This is the first year I got a flu shot and I feel like I'm getting the flu. I thought they quit making the flu vaccines with the live flu virus.

I somehow amazingly stay well with 3 young kids in the home......my wife, not so lucky. We dont get the flu but get tons of earaches etc!

Thats me. I am still recovering right now. I finally got up out of bed after 3 days. Finally felt well enough to get up and go to the doctor and he said I had a 101º temperature.

I just got over it myself, and when I left work the other night there was several marked off DR so either the crap is going around or fishing just busted wide open.

My wife has it now. She feels really bad. I don't have it and am doing every thing I can not to get it.....

Gosh, if I even look at someone with the flu, I get it. And most of the time it progresses into an upper respiratory infection. That's lots of fun! You're very lucky if you never have to hassle with the flu.

I too pass on the flu shots.
Injecting my body with weakened strains of something I might not get- no thank you.

My wife was getting her annual flu shots for years and always getting the flu, I finally asked her- "has it worked for you yet? "= No.
So no mas for her either.

I'll take my chances but haven't had a flu in a LONG time (many years).

I do have a slight cough though. Maybe I should have gotten my cough shot?

Since I started getting the flu shot, I don't get the flu. yee ha!!!

My better half works for Exxon in Baytown. She has been taking flu shots for sevseral years. Last year Exxon contracted out the flu shots to some quack doctor, who in turn gave 1000 employee's fake flu shots. She spent a year of having to be blood tested monthly tyo see if she was gonna catch something. Thank god nobody got sick that I know of, but I'm not taking the shots.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the flu shot will not prevent the flu but minimize the effects of the flu if you get it. I've been taking it for several years and haven't had it yet. Don't want it either...

Yes I am!!!

Steph had the flu last year and her parents did not even want me to go in the room with her for fear of me catching the flu. They finally let me in and figured I would get sick no matter what. I was drinking after her and still did not get sick!

The last I got sick was an ear infection my freshman year. That is the last time I remember getting sick.

I feel for the rest of yall!
