1. They believe their flawed study
2. That would eliminate hunter opportunity on a mostly numerous, easy identifiable animal.

My guess would be simply numbers there. Many more whitetail than mulies. I don't know of any studies done on spike mulies. Maybe they are out there, but I have not come across.

I think they should change the whole state to bow hunting only for 4 or 5 years.

I was all for the north texas bowzone, a block of counties along the red river that was proposed to go archery only like Grayson, but some... probably most saw it as blasphemy. If we had 100 yard accurate crossbows back then as readily available as they are now it might have happened
