    Smoker Question

Does anyone have a reverse flow or regular smoker with the firebox in the middle on the backside? I just can't seem to find a pic of one. If so can you post a pic. Bout to start on a new pit and this is the way I want to go.

    Thanks Ron

I guess my concern would be easy access to load wood, especially if it was on a trailer. Not sure how the smoke would flow in such a set up.

Where in Alvord are you? I live off of 1655.

Will be stationary. I have seen them in the past just never paid attention to the connection of chamber and firebox. I'm over by cr2896 and 1655

Diamond plate pits (San Angelo) made quite a few with this set up. See if they have a website. I have built quite a few reverse flow offsets and have thought about attempting this style for an area with limited width but have talked my way out of it.

I’m assuming you’re talking about something like this? I’ve seen a few like this before but never heard anything about how they perform

Are you buying from someone or building it yourself? My pit will be needing to be replaced soon, I've been looking for a new one for a couple of weeks now.

Building myself. I'm not sure the Feldon calculater would work for a rear mount. If I can't figure it out I will just build a standard offset reverse flow. I just thought it would be different and I have heard the design works well. The chamber pipe is 34" diam. By 48 long.
Kind like the academy pic. Larger scale though. Thanks

Also firebox only, not to be used for cooking

Are you using pipe, or a thinner wall tank? Reason I'm asking is because I'm looking for larger, thicker pipe for making an implement.

1/4 pipe. What kind of pipe and how much of it do you need? I'm always running across "Good Stuff" as my wife says.

Prefer 24" or larger and min. 3/8 thick. I need at least 8'.
