How long do they last in bags like that before freezer burn?

Nicely done. But, yeah. I would definitely invest in a vacuum packer if you're not planning on eating that stuff pretty quickly.

A vacuum packer is not necessary but is nice to have. Ziplock bag them like he did and wrap it in freezer paper and it will last.

This is how we have always done it and never had issues with freezer burn. I have found some packages that got lost in the bottom that were over 2 years old with no freezer burn.
