Hunting Bastrop

What's the hunting like around Bastrop? Have family that will be moving to the San Antonio/San Marcos area and they want us to get a family lease. I live in Katy so somewhere between the two of us would be ideal. For some reason Bastrop kind of caught my attention.

Good around the river but only decent imo. Tons of hogs And meth heads

You can find some giants in the area. Overall numbers are lower than most surrounding areas. Finding hunting land is going to be very difficult here, let me warn you.
