Before my friends and I got thermal, we would just use feeder lights and lights mounted on our guns. Then we should dump more corn at the feeders and just walk or drive around the ranch checking feeders so often.

Not as effective as thermal but was still fun.

Ride around in truck, beer between your legs, spotlight in left hand and scoped rifle in other Don't drive on public right-of-way with said open beer.

Used to do this down south but saw a bunch of rattlebugs that came out to eat the rats/mice eating the corn, so wear your snake boots.

Now I have lights on my hog feeders and choot 'em in the ear with my M70 or sometimes the 12-ga w/buckshot or sometimes with the Elite--all fun regardless.

This is how we used to do it down south for several years in a row. Hunted the Callahan for about 8 years then moved to a few spots near Tilden. Some really fun stuff!
