Inside the transmission there is a drive chain. we broke the chain and 3 teeth of the sprocket.
I didnt even know there was a drive chain on those machines!
Oh and it wasnt mine, it was the lease owner that allows us to hunt for free
It should be the reverse chain that is a weak link in the ranger tranny. They have an upgraded heavy duty replacment chain. I had to replace some of the bearings in my tranny. Worse part is getting it out we pulled it out the top through the frame.

Oh and while you habe it out if it is equipped with the turf mode tou may want to look at doing the delete that is a very weak link in that tranny also.
How’s it looking mud wise? I didn’t make it down from Lubbock to Fisher Co last night due to work. Was going to see if I could make it late this morning. Going about 15mi north of Sweetwater.
Evidently the computer models on freezing precip were way wrong, but looks like plenty of rain. Headed out Monday, I’m sure truck will come back mud colored again. We hunt up outside Stamford and the car wash hasn’t let me go through since October. Lol
Couple of weeks ago a neighbor asked for help. The message I was relayed was “he’s kind of stuck and the ground in front of him is dry.” So kinda stuck was sitting on his front axle. And the dry ground... when I pulled up to try to pull him out I slid to a stop. Long story short he stayed stuck and I almost joined him. That’s last time I help someone “kinda stuck”.
