    Cracked computer screen

Has anyone ever had to replace a computer screen? I just cracked the crap out of mine. I was carrying it in with a handful of other stuff and it slipped out landing on its top. Didn’t look too bad until I turned it on and the screen is pretty jacked up. Don’t know if you can replace a screen or if I have to just get a whole new computer.

Hope here’s a service in San Antonio that can fix it.

I replaced a cracked screen on my laptop. It was a piece of cake after I watched a youtube video on it. Bought the replacement screen on Ebay and was done in 20 minutes .....still going strong. Search youtube for your computer and screen replacement.

This. I've done several myself. It's not really very hard.

Thanks, might just try it myself and take it in if I make it worse [emoji23]

This. I've replaced 2 Toshiba laptop screens and it was easy. I used a second laptop with the youtube video going and paused it at each step.

It really depends on your model of laptop, some screen replacements are easy and some are not. Go to www.ifixit.com and see if you can find a guide for your laptop model. If they have a guide you'll see the process and can decide if you want to try to tackle it yourself or not.

I've replaced many screens. It's very simple but make sure you have the right part number.
