    Prop shaft

Anyone ever remove the prop shaft on a polaris? The rear u joints are making a lot of noise on my 2014 900 XP crew. All I can find on the web is a bunch of confusing post and marginal videos at best. I hear it is a pain to do, but not impossible.

Yes I just removed one on a 900 crew to put a new carrier bearing in it. And my god was it a pain in the ***! There’s a pin you have to drive out where it connects to you the front diff. Then you have to slide the rear yoke off. Then it’s a two piece shaft and they will slide apart. You will have to remove all the skid plates to see it. And prolly the cover that goes over the belt as well. It’s a horrible job

Are you sure it’s the u-joint. I thought this was a u-joint making noise turned out the carrier bearing was locked up

Not sure, but there is a lot of slack in it.

That is what I am thinking, but I am just hard headed enough to try it.
